SALVATION
band begins immediately after SEETHER.
JASON SIPEwrites the songs, sings them & plays guitar
SHANNA KIELwrites the songs, sings them & plays guitar
While jason was living in Chicago & looking for someone to release his record, he was referred to shannas' record label (Thick Records) by brian moss: Chicago promoter & member of the band: Hanelei. He checked out the roster and decided his favorite band on the label was shanna's band...the two of them started corresponding and became fans of each other's music...shanna invited jason's band to open for them on tour. The tour ended, but the two decided they weren't finished with each other. Jason moved to Los Angeles to make music with Shanna. They played their first show together at the Echo in Hollywood, opening for Nebula & Qui (feat. David Yow of The Jesus Lizard) The two decided to return to the midwest and moved to Chicago and started SALVATION. They are now back in Shanna's home: St. Louis. Good friend Andrew Gowran has joined on as drummer & now theyre working on getting it off the ground and back out on tour, making records...They've recorded some demos on shanna's 4-track at home and will soon start work on their first full length record with the help of musician friends...

THE DREW MANTIA BAND
band begins immediately after COREY SMITH.
Looking to expand on the sound of his debut album, “Save Yourself,” Drew Mantia has introduced influences like John Mayer and Maroon 5 to electronic elements and irresistible grooves on his second release, “Some Assembly Required” (released 6/1/10). This mix of organic pop rock and R&B with futuristic sounds looks to secure Drew Mantia a special niche in the pop rock world. The successes of “Save Yourself,” such as being invited to perform at Six Flags Mid-America theme park, a TV feature on the St. Louis Fox affiliate, and opening performances for national acts the Flobots and Slightly Stoopid, pave the way for the Drew Mantia Band to spread the sounds of “Some Assembly Required” in 2010. |

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22
WLCA 89.9FM & Amanaplanacanal presents...
JANE'S ADDICTION
LIVE DVD SCREENING
screening begins at 9pm. FREE!
"Live Voodoo" "captures a musical celebration at the Voodoo Experience in New Orleans in 2009. Filmed on Halloween night, the reunion of the original lineup — guitarist Dave Navarro, bassist Eric Avery, drummer Stephen Perkins, and ever-enigmatic frontman Perry Farrell — proved they still have that flawless, ferocious flair that conquered the hard rock world of the late Eighties/early Nineties. Setting in motion a lasting alt-rock legacy, they are seen performing staples predominantly from their first two albums. The band worked their magic over the crowd, proving that a JANE'S ADDICTION show is more than just a concert — it's an experience."
