They struggled with their sexual identity and gender identity for years and years because there wasn’t representation for G Flip when they were younger.
G Flips wishes they had a non-binary, gay, lead singing drummer to watch because it would have calmed the dark, confused voices in their head that told them they didn’t belong anywhere as their authentic self. If they are able to calm those voices for someone else, their job on this planet is done.
The new music hits harder: there are more drums, it’s tougher, there’s angst, there’s way more rock influence which actually makes sense as that’s always been what G Flip grew up listening to and playing. It’s grittier. G Flip wants to be a voice for the non-binary/queer community. They want to fill the gap as the next singing drummer. G Flip wants to make art that matters.
