About Aimee Mann
Aimee Mann is one of the most distinguished singer-songwriters of her generation. Her successful solo career has spanned several decades with several Grammy nominations, two Grammy Awards and the release of ten critically acclaimed solo albums, including the profoundly popular soundtrack for the film Magnolia which garnered Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for Best Song in 2000.
TIME magazine raved, “Mann has the same skill that great tunesmiths like McCartney and Neil Young have: the knack for writing simple, beautiful, instantly engaging songs. ”, while NPR voted her one of the “TOP 10 Best Living Songwriters” along with Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. “Mental Illness” won her a Grammy for Best Folk Album, and her latest release “Queens of the Summer Hotel” features songs inspired by the book Girl Interrupted by Susannah Kaysen.
Earlier in her musical life, Mann fronted the band ‘Til Tuesday, releasing three albums. She has also made numerous memorable cameo appearances in films such as The Big Lebowski and TV shows like Portlandia and The Daily Show.

Bassist and singer-songwriter Kimon Kirk’s new full-length double LP, Bikini Jardine, is slated for a summer 2026 release, following his release of Altitude in 2021. Bikini Jardine (whose title is a mashup of the name of the all-female punk band Bikini Kill and the Beach Boys’ guitarist Al Jardine) includes songs written with the legendary Aimee Mann, alt-country icon Robbie Fulks (the single “Dashboard Hula Doll”) and Treat Her Right’s David Champagne and features guest appearances by Mann and Gaby Moreno on vocals and NRBQ keyboardist Terry Adams on clavinet, as well as backing from Kirk’s longtime bandmates in Los Angeles and Boston. Based in Los Angeles but raised in the fertile musical ground of Boston, Kirk has been the bassist in Grammy-winner Gaby Moreno’s band since 2016 and frequently collaborates with Aimee Mann as bassist, backing vocalist, and co-writer. He has also performed as bassist and harmony vocalist with Van Dyke Parks, Grant-Lee Phillips, Alejandro Escovedo, Rufus Wainwright, and Sarah Borges.
