Buried In Jade stands as a career-defining moment for San Diego-based post-hardcore outfit Thousand Below, distilling nearly a decade of sonic exploration into a cohesive yet diverse body of work. The highly anticipated fourth studio album spans multiple sonic spectrums—from crushing metalcore anthems and hook-heavy modern pop elements to atmospheric rock, heartfelt ballads, and the band’s signature post-hardcore roots. In May 2025, Thousand Below returned in full force with the release of the explosive single “Palace of Dread,” coinciding with the official announcement of Buried In Jade, set for release on August 8th via Pale Chord/Rise Records BMG. The unrelenting track, produced by Josh Gilbert (Spiritbox), marked a fierce and cathartic turning point for the band, showcasing a raw intensity that fans both new and old found impossible to ignore.
