At first glance, one would see another local band made up of a few indie-rockers. Take a closer look, we dare you. Creysi (Cry-see) is a chaotic spelling of the word crisi, which is a series of crisis or a constant state of crisis. The quarter-life crisis hits hard, so we decided to make music that hits almost as hard.

Creysi is made up of 4 people, each with their own crisis. Lead guitarist Sawyer Spencer has been cursed with an insatiable need to shred, but only using the jazziest, weirdly coolest voicings possible. He has known drummer Simon Aruvshenko for way too long, which is another crisis in and of itself. Simon carries the heavy weight of keeping time, which is why he never wears watches. He is time itself. If you were wondering about the flamboyant she-ghost that dances in front of Simon, well that’s lead singer Trisha Tamblyn. She’s from Wyoming. There’s too much to unpack there. Which leads us to Jackson Denholm, our bandleader, bassist, and favorite pair of calves this side of the Mississippi. Jackson not only writes and records a large part of Creysi’s music, he also is our resident CPAP expert. At our next show, ask Jackson what other fluids can go inside the CPAP!
